Most people use “disaster recovery” and “backup” interchangeably, and if asked about their disaster recovery solution, many people would refer to a tape drive and backup software. While this may protect your data, it’s not a full disaster recovery solution because it does not support you in rebuilding your full operating environment of servers, operating systems and application software.
